Up for sale is a beautiful specimen of a rare bird: Delta/Rockwell combination 12" disc and 4" belt sander built in 1960s.
I restored it a few years ago while building up my vintage Delta woodworking shop, doing the usual routine: tear it down to the smallest screw, derust, spray paint, assemble with new bearings and belts, tune up and polish.
The sander works really well, I've used it for a lot of projects ranging from fine tuning picture frame miters to crowning rubber bandsaw tires.
Still have the jig I built for that somewhere in the attic, you can have it if you like.
This sander takes 12" Pressure Sensitive Adhesive discs sold at Almquist and elsewhere, and 4" x 52.
5" belts available on Amazon.
Both the disc and belt currently mounted are 80 grit.
If I can find the spare belts I'll throw them in.
The motor is 1.
5 hp Rockwell/Baldor, currently wired for 240V for quicker startup.
Can be wired for 120V if desired.
Custom made dust collection outlets are for 4" intake, I used quick disconnect hook-ups with great success.
Sad to let it go but I need the floor space for bigger projects.
Cash only please, no weed and no trades.
If this ad is up, the machine is still available.
